After 50 years in Melrose Park, in 1999 YCC  moved into a new  state-of-the art facility in Aurora, IL. factory_01.jpg factory_02.jpg factory_19.jpg

Our machine shop features cell type workstations that feature various machine types depending on the operations performed. factory_03.jpg   Submersible motor housing castings are being machined on one of our Mazak CNC lathes. factory_04.jpg

Partially completed motor housings are being staged for their next operation. factory_05.jpg   An impeller is being trimmed using a manually operated lathe. We trim our impellers down to fractional inches to meet the specific duty point. factory_06.jpg

Our stock room features 24' heavy duty racking that houses patterns, castings and machined parts. All raw castings are stored indoors. factory_07.jpg   High lift reach trucks are used to pick skids and bins. factory_08.jpg

Impellers and motor rotor/shaft assemblies are balanced using an overhung or cradle type balancing fixture. Impellers up to 2,500 lbs can be balanced in house. factory_09.jpg     factory_10.jpg

This section of the machine shop shows some our our larger equipment that is used for motor housings, volutes, larger impellers and comminutor cylinders. New machines include an O-M Vertical Boring Mill, Mori Seiki Horizontal Machine Center and a Mazak Horizontal Machine Center. factory_11.jpg   Shown on the right side is our plant offices where Quality Control, Production and Scheduling and Inventory control is based. In the background is our motor assembly area and our balancing station that features a computer controlled Hines balancer. factory_12.jpg

A suction plate is being set up for machining on our new Vertical Boring Mill. The program is called up using the operator interface. factory_13.jpg   Our O-M VBM can handle medium to large parts in small and large runs. factory_14.jpg

Our Mazak Slant Turns are used to make both production runs and piecework shafts. factory_15.jpg   Our test floor features a 100,000+ gallon in-ground wet pit that can be used to feed three separate test stations: submersible pump area, dry pit test area and grade level test area. factory_16.jpg

Our closed 54" test loop is used to test pumps ranging from 36" to 54" discharge size. Two 10 Ton cranes are used to configure piping arrangements and to place pumps into position for testing. factory_17.jpg   Our shipping floor features an in ground digital scale. All boxing and crating is done in house to assure proper packing. factory_18.jpg

The shipping department utilizes 3 door docks with load levelers and one 22' wide overhead door for top and side loads. factory_19.jpg     factory_19.jpg
